What?s New in Brain Tumor Treatment

Presenter: M. Kelly Nicholas, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Chicago Thurs, Jan 30 from 6:30- 8pm Dr. Nicholas will provide an overview of treatment approaches in primary brain tumors, focusing on gliomas, the most common tumors. He will review tumor classification ? the most important factor in determining treatment strategy ? including low grade gliomas, anaplastic tumors, glioblastoma, and oligodendroglioma. He will provide a comparison of standard therapies to experimental strategies. This presentation is for a non-medical audience and will include time for questions and answers and for addressing individual patient/family concerns.
