Join us for this helpful discussion on how to stay safe from scammers. John will talk about the reasons for this fastest growing crime in America, techniques offenders often use, practical prevention methods, and will provide related resources available on this topic.
John Good after completed a combined 41-year career with two Illinois police departments. He served in a variety of specialized units earning him department commendations and awards. Among the awards, John was the Glenview Youth Services Person of the Year in 2001.
John is credited with creating the Officer Friendly / Crime Prevention position with the Glenview Police Department, and was recognized for his work and received the prestigious Glenview Public Safety Award in 1986.
His graduate degree is in Law Enforcement Administration as well as his undergraduate degree, are both from Western Illinois University.
John also has an extensive background in higher education having taught as adjunct faculty at the following schools from 1990 — 2020, Roosevelt University, College of Du Page, Oakton College, and Northwestern Business College where he was Teacher of the year in 2006.
John is the author of the police crime fiction novel, Blood on the Badge, first published in 2021.
