He served in a variety of specialized units earning him department commendations and awards. Among the awards\, John was the Glenview Youth Services Person of the Year in 2001.\n\nJohn is credited with creating the Officer Friendly / Crime Prevention position with the Glenview Police Department\, and was recognized for his work and received the prestigious Glenview Public Safety Award in 1986.\n\nHis graduate degree is in Law Enforcement Administration as well as his undergraduate degree\, are both from Western Illinois University.\n\nJohn also has an extensive background in higher education having taught as adjunct faculty at the following schools from 1990   2020\, Roosevelt University\, College of Du Page\, Oakton College\, and Northwestern Business College where he was Teacher of the year in 2006.\n\nJohn is the author of the police crime fiction novel\, Blood on the Badge\, first published in 2021.\n\nPresented by John Good\, President\, JG Good Corporation
