Introduction to Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a simple yet powerful tool which can help in dealing with life challenges and reduce daily stress as well as medical and psychological conditions. Cultivating mindfulness encourages relaxation and mental clarity while living more fully and present in the moment. In the introductory class, concepts of mindful living will be discussed. Participants will learn two meditation techniques: 1) a sitting meditation and 2) body scan. Dress comfortably and bring a large towel or yoga mat.
