Adult Protective Services (APS)
The Adult Protective Services Program (APS) investigates reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect of adults age 60 or older, and adults age 18-59 with disabilities living in the community. APS works to:
- Assess safety and risk
- Stop or reduce harm
- Connect individuals with community resources and supports
- Promote independence, dignity, and the least restrictive interventions possible
