DESCRIPTION:The Adult Protective Services Program (APS) investigates reports of abuse\, neglect\, exploitation\, and self-neglect of adults age 60 or older\, and adults age 18-59 with disabilities living in the community. APS works to:\n\n Assess safety and risk\n Stop or reduce harm\n Connect individuals with community resources and supports\n Promote independence\, dignity\, and the least restrictive interventions possible\n\nAPS services are voluntary and client-centered. Our goal is to protect vulnerable adults while respecting their rights and personal choices.
