There’s a powerful force for good right here in our community—100 Women Who Care – NW
Suburban Chicago.
This incredible group of women is proving that when individual
contributions unite, they ignite a powerful movement—fueling lasting impact and deserving
support for local charities in need.
How It Works
There is no pressure to become a member right away. You are welcome to attend a meeting,
learn more and see firsthand how this incredible group operates.
The meetings are held quarterly at Moretti’s in Barrington, beginning with a social hour at 6:00
PM, where members and guests can catch up, order dinner and drinks, and enjoy each other’s
company. At 7:00 PM, the heart of the meeting begins:
- Three pre-selected charities are nominated and presented (each for just five minutes).
- Members vote anonymously for the charity they believe should receive the group’s
donation.
- The charity with the most votes is awarded the full amount, and members write a $100
check directly to the winning organization.
The evening concludes promptly at 8:00 PM, with additional time afterward to socialize and
celebrate the collective generosity of the group.
When you donate $100 to a charity, you may wonder if your contribution is making a difference.
But when 100 women each donate $100, they raise $10,000 in a single evening! That's
powerful & real impact for a local charity!
