Dear Wine Enthusiast, On Thursday, October 18, 2007, M.J. Miller & Co. will be hosting their semi-annual Riedel Glass Tasting at the M.J. Miller & Co. Like all of the previous tastings, Sean Petrie, a representative from Riedel, will help us explore the difference a wine glass can make in the taste of wine. We are very excited to host this special event. Each place setting will be set with four different wine glasses from the Vinum Extreme Series: a Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet. This tasting set of crystal stemware is yours to keep at the end of the evening--a $118.00 value! Each stem is lead crystal and specifically designed to enhance the unique qualities of a specific grape varietal. Promptly at 6:00 p.m. The wines we will be serving include: 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley, a 2005 Sauvignon Blanc from Kendall-Jackson, a 2004 Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley, and a 2004 Monterey Chardonnay from Carmel Road. We will experience the aroma, taste, and tone a stem designed for each grape varietal can make. For this tasting we will be pairing chocolates with the wines! After the tasting, a box will be provided designed specifically for your new stemware, along with a handled bag for you to carry them home. Sean will be available after the tasting to answer any questions you may have about Riedel crystal. Additional Riedel accessories, decanters, and stems from the Sommeliers Series will be set up for your viewing. Stemware from the Sommeliers Series is full lead crystal and hand blown in Austria. These items are readily available at M.J. Miller & Company. The Wine Tasting has a limited seating of 24 people and seating is only guaranteed with a reservation.
