Operation North Pole – Pack the Train Station Platform

Join the Village and community at the Barrington Train Depot to support Operation North Pole and wave at the train full of children as it passes through Barrington at 12:44 p.m. ONP works with Chicago’s major children’s hospitals, providing a day of fun and fantasy for families who have a child battling a life-threatening illness by hosting a trip to the North Pole in Rosemont. The Barrington Train Depot will feature seasonal decor, lights, signs and more to help make the train ride even more special for the children. Wear and bring your favorite holiday-themed wear. Hot chocolate and treats will be provided by Starbucks and festive music will be played by Bob the DJ. At the event, the Village will be collecting food donations to benefit local families in need. ONP is a volunteer-based public charity. With the emotional and financial stresses a family with a child battling a life-threatening or terminal illness may face, ONP makes every effort to ensure that the entire family participates and shares in the day’s festivities.
