Jazz Pianist Fred Hersch: Solo at Barrington’s White House
Join us for an intimate afternoon of jazz piano with the legendary, Fred Hersch. A transcendent musical experience awaits. Experience an afternoon of world-class jazz with pianist Fred Hersch, hailed by Vanity Fair as “the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade.” A seventeen-time GRAMMY nominee, Hersch has been a creative force in jazz for more than three decades – as a pianist, composer, bandleader, and collaborator with icons including Esperanza Spalding, Joe Lovano, and Bill Frisell, to name a few. Renowned for the beauty, sensitivity, and invention of his solo playing, Hersch has redefined the possibilities of the piano in jazz. His recent solo album, Silent, Listening (ECM Records), continues his exploration of improvisation and introspection. This concert offers a rare opportunity to hear one of the great jazz artists of our time in the intimate setting of Barrington’s White House. Join Fred for a meet and greet following the concert.
