Intellectual Property Basics for Small Businesses
If you are starting a business or already own one, you may have intellectual property assets that need legal protection! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of domestic and international intellectual property for start-ups and small businesses. We will review patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets and learn how each is applied to protect a business’s products, brands and operations. We will also discuss non-disclosure agreements, invention assignments as well as privacy policies. Additionally, we will discuss what resources are available in the IP world to those in financial need. Active Q & A is encouraged!
