Laura Brown, Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, will discuss how Harper College has helped shape our region for the past 50 years by focusing on partnerships, affordable education, fiscal stewardship and planning for the future. The Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates will also discuss how they are partnering with Harper to support economic development and build the workforce of our community.

Learn how organizations and freelancers can benefit from this new environment in which organizations contract with independent workers for short-term engagements.

To be successful in business and leadership, you need to learn to communicate in a way that connects with others by identifying with and relating to people in a way that increases your influence with them. In this session, participants will learn how to get their message across by building a bridge to others. Participants will discover that cultivating relationships is every bit as important to effective communication as crafting the message. The principles shared in this session are critical to understand if you desire to forge a lasting bond with those around you. Whether applied in private conversations or public speeches, the proven connecting practices learned in this session will give participants the edge as a leader.
