Free Concert at The Presbyterian Church of Barrington

The pubic is invited to a FREE Music on the Hill concert on Friday, March 8 at 7:00 pm at The Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Rd. in Barrington Hills. Members of the PCB Sanctuary Choir and guests will perform Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Set in 1736 by the Italian composer, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, the text of the Stabat Mater ruminates on Mary's suffering at the foot of Jesus's cross. The musical performance will be accompanied by slides featuring the famous Isenheim Altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald, depicting the crucifixion.
