Event at M. J. Miller, & Co., Inc.
GEMSTONE ROUND TABLE Thursday, Friday and Saturday August 21, 22 & 23 What is a Gemstone Round Table? A Gemstone Round Table is an opportunity for you to sit down with a ?stone dealer? and open 100 to 125 gem papers, each one containing a unique carved gem. You are encouraged to view, hold and feel each gem. Every piece is available for purchase. The Gemstone Round Table session involves several store associates and 8 to 12 individuals. Who is the ?Stone Dealer?? Internationally recognized Larry Woods will be our guest. Larry has earned multiple cutting awards and he will be demonstrating his cutting techniques here in the store before the round table. Can we touch the gems? Yes! This is a ?hands-on? event. We want everyone to take the gems out of their papers, view them up close and hold them in your hands. Absolutely no tweezers are permitted. What if I want to see a gem again? This is the fun part. If you see a gem you would like to see and hold again, before you pass it on to the next person, you can ?dib? on the gem. ?Dibbing? on a gem only means that after all the other people at the table have viewed the gem, it will be returned to you to hold for as long as you would like. Can I ?dib? on more than one gem? Yes. You can ?dib? on as many gems as you would like. Can I ?dib? on a gem that someone else has already ?dibbed? on? Yes. This is a common occurrence. Sometimes a gem is ?dibbed? on as many as 7 or 8 times. The staff will be keeping track of the order of who ?dibbed? on which gem. How long does a Gemstone Round Table last? We will be entertaining you for approximately 2 hours. Can I bring a spouse or friend? Yes. Just let us know in advance. Although there is no charge for attending the event, seating is limited and advanced reservations are required. Is there anything else I need to know? Yes. There are three sessions scheduled for this fun, casual event: Thursday August 21, 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2-4 p.m. and Saturday August 23, 2-4 p.m. Champagne and light Hors d? oeuvres will be served.
