Caregiving - The First Year and Beyond
Did you know that in the US over half of caregivers have been given care or assistance for more than 24 months or more? Reporting more stress and less sleep is one of their major concerns. In this program, you will learn the financial concerns, assessing when your loved one needs caregiving, and special caregiver groups. Learn the various roles caregivers play each day, and how as a caregiver you can avoid stress that leads to burnout. You will be able to recognize the physical and emotional signs of caregiver burnout. Learn self-care techniques that will help along your journey. Presented by Chris Petrik, RN, BS, DCCS-CI, Dementia Reality Master Trainer, Director of Education, Elderwerks Educational Services
