Barrington Spring Wine Walk

 

Barrington, IL:  The merchants in downtown Barrington will host a Spring Wine Walk on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  This event is planned to kick off the shopping season for spring and summer merchandise, and for those special and unique Easter and Mother’s Day gifts.

The Spring Wine Walk will offer free wine tastings and other tasty treats along the way.   Over twenty shops and eight restaurants & wine merchants are participating in this enjoyable event.  Customers can begin the Wine Walk at any participating business by picking up a location map for the tasting.  The participating stores are:

·         Village Center Merchants: Acacia Organics, Anderson’s Candy Shop, Angelina, Barrington Flower Shop, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, Gene Ann’s Yarns,  Grassroots, Mia Sorella, Notice, Solisq, The Annex, Urban Flair and Vin Chicago

·         Norton’s U.S.A., Barrington’s uniquely American general store, will host their event on Lageschulte Street.

·         Chessie’s Restaurant will offer wine tastings at The Ice House Mall on behalf of the Barrington Cultural Arts Center, Once in a Blue Moon, Paris Market Antiques, Savvy Spirit, Tina Hahn Gallery, Tommy Terri and Tootsies

·         Barrington Commons merchants are Carol and Company and Fleur de Lis Salon

The Spring Wine Walk Wine Walk is a wonderful opportunity for shoppers and visitors to experience the shops and restaurants in the downtown Barrington, the Shops on Lageschulte, Barrington Commons and Ice House Mall and for these merchants to highlight their merchandise, unique gifts and specialty items. Plan to spend the day walking around town, tastings good wine, socialize with friends, find that unique one of a kind gift, then settle in for a wonderful dinner on one of our fine dining establishments in Barrington.  Anne Garrette, event and marketing coordinator for the Village of Barrington commented that “This is the third year the Village has hosted wine walks, and the merchants are pleased to use this event to open the spring and summer shopping seasons in Barrington”.   The wines for Saturday’s event are being provided by Heinen’s Fine Foods, Near Restaurant, Cooper’s, The Annex, McGonigal’s Pub, Grassroots, Vin Chicago and Chessie’s.
