Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Family Fitness Run 5K/10K
Following an 18-year tradition, the Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Family Fitness Run 5K/10K is the perfect start to the Barrington’s July 4th celebration. Runners and walkers can test themselves on challenging 5K or 10K courses that wind through Barrington and Barrington Hills. There is also a 2K walk through the streets of the Village of Barrington. 4th of July Parade

Join in celebrating our country’s Independence Day at Barrington’s annual 4th of July Parade to be held on Friday, July 4th, 2014. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Barrington High School and continues down Main Street, ending at the Metra train station. This year’s parade theme, “A Star Spangled Salute,” will ignite your patriotic spirit and celebrate Barrington as a great American community. It promises to be another grand celebration complete with lively bands, classic cars, local performers, and decorative floats.
Applications are being accepted until June 13th for participation in this year’s parade. Applications may be completed on-line or mailed in. There will be awards given following the parade to the float displaying the most patriotism, the best use of the theme, and for the float that best represents the community spirit of Barrington. In addition to the parade, the committee will host a Food Drive on the day of the parade and all donations will be given to the Barrington and Cuba Township food pantries to benefit local neighbors in need. White House Open House
Friday, July 4 following the Parade (approximately 11:30am) to 3:00pm. As a central part of the Sesquicentennial Celebration year in 2015, the Barrington White House, located at 145 W. Main St., is being restored and renovated into an elegant venue for community, civic and cultural gatherings. During the July 4th Open House, the public is invited to tour the building, see the architectural plans, and view interior design concept boards. Barrington History Road Show
Friday, July 4 from 11:30am - 3:00pm. The Sesquicentennial Committee is hosting a Road Show to collect documents pertaining to Barrington’s history. It is an opportunity for local residents to bring historic photographs, old letters, meeting minutes, directories, or other small memorabilia that reference Barrington’s history. The memorabilia will be scanned and returned to its owners that day - you don't need to part with your important mementos. Fourth of July Festival - “The Brat Tent”

The 30th Annual Barrington 4th of July Festival is three days of great food, great music, great family entertainment. Located in the North Commuter Lot of the Metra Train Station, the festival is a Celebration for the whole family to enjoy, complete with children’s entertainment daily and live musical entertainment at night. 4th of July Fireworks
