Join us for an educational speaking event with Susan Grossinger, coordinator of senior services
at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, to learn more about ways to reduce your risk of falling.
Accidents can happen to people of any age, but they occur more commonly with older adults.
According to the National Safety Council, falls in the home are the most common cause of accidental
death for people age 65 and older. People often believe that if they limit their activity in later years,
they will decrease their risk of falling. However, research has shown that this approach can have many
unintended consequences as well.
