In 1996\, Pressl was named the president of the Civic Federation\, earning him a gubernatorial appointment to the Illinois Government Accountability Council. He earned his BA\, MA\, and Ph.D. from Northwestern University. The featured speaker will focus on how we compete in the Global marketplace: 1st\, we must recognize the status quo is not simply going to work - the rules of the game have changed. 2nd\, we have to create a regional movement inperative that supports and encourages widespread adoption of innovative processes within our businesses\, our non profits and government organizations. And 3rd\, we must also create a regional innovation ecosystem that supports and encourages widespread adoption of innovative practices and strategies\, which will be the single most important comtribution we can make at this time in history.
