SUMMARY:Countryside Association for People with Disabilities Groundbreaking
DESCRIPTION:Countryside Association for People with Disabilities will\n\n	host a groundbreaking ceremony at its Palatine campus on August 26\, 2011 at 12 PM. The\n\n	event will mark the start of construction for a 9\,000 square foot expansion and renovation of\n\n	Countryside Center.\n\n	This is the first step in a 4-phase project and the expansion will be completed by Glenn Johnson\n\n	Construction (Des Plaines). The project is expected to conclude in summer 2012 and will\n\n	significantly benefit the hundreds of adults with disabilities who attend everyday. Most notably\,\n\n	the expanded space will allow Countryside to provide opportunities for an additional 50 people to\n\n	move from a waiting list to participation in paid work opportunities and healthy\, individualized\n\n	activities each day.\n\n	Leading the groundbreaking for this $2.5 million project is Executive Director Wayne Kulick and\n\n	On-site Director of Countryside Center Kathy Deka.\n\n	[Insert Photo] In the image\, the expansion of Countryside Center is highlighted on the left side of\n\n	the building.\n\n	Generous gifts to an established building fund have been provided by a recent bequest\, the\n\n	2010 Illinois Capital Fund\, Countryside Foundation and the Foglia Family Foundation. Additional\n\n	support for this project is always welcome. Several naming opportunities are still available as\n\n	well as a need to acquire a variety of interior enhancements.\n\n	"With more than 20\,000 children and adults with disabilities waiting for support services in\n\n	Illinois\, our efforts to expand paid work opportunities to those who want to work\, learn and\n\n	socialize\, are more timely than ever\," Wayne Kulick said.\n\n	To learn more about Countryside's programs and services\, visit www.countrysideassn.org. For\n\n	additional information about this project and to learn about how you can support the renovation\n\n	and expansion of Countryside Center in Palatine\, contact Wayne Kulick\, Executive Director\, at\n\n	(847) 540-3701.
