The radio program features jazz music by local and Chicago area musicians\, interviews with local jazz figures\, as well as news and events. Denk is an active musician and patron of Jazz. He also is the President of Jazz on the Square in a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Woodstock\, Illinois\, where their mission is to provide the best live jazz performance and education in northern Illinois. Denk hosts the bi-monthly Jazz Jam's at Stage Left Caf . Even with his thorough involvement in the world of Jazz\, Denk still finds time to work at Abbott Laboratories during the day.
