DESCRIPTION:Each December Barrington Giving Day invites needy families\, and individuals residing in Barrington 220 School District to a Giving Day. Families receive food\, warm coats\, books\, blankets\, and gifts. Members of Barringtn churches\, schools\, businesses and civic organizations have always been generous in their support of this day. Giving Day 2007 helped 701 families. The number of children helped was over 2\,000. These families live in our school district. They are our friends and neighbors. Each year the need is greater. Financial gifs are urgently needed and are used to purchase food\, grocery food certificates\, children's coats\, blankets\, and hygiene products.
