DESCRIPTION:Spring's answer to Oktoberfest arrives in May to usher in the new season like they do in Germany. The 3rd annual Maifest (pronounced My-fest) in BCB's 1-acre biergarten will come alive with the sights and sounds of the budding spring season during the ancient rite of dancing around the maypole. The family-friendly event features live German folk music headlined by Alpine Thunder\, charity raffles and games\, new warm-weather beer releases and special small batches served in steins outside at the Lager Lane bar\, a Bavarian food truck\, a German pretzel pop-up\, and Kevin's Creative Catering dishing out favorites like marinated beer brats with sauerkraut\, Jagerschnitzel\, German beef roast sandwiches\, and Frankfurters with all the fixings. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit Misericordia\, a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities. Representatives from the organization will be on hand throughout the weekend selling raffle tickets and hosting interactive games for adults and children.
