BACC to Present Top Business Awards at Annual Dinner and Scholarship Fundraiser January 18
The event kicks off a new year of opportunity, and raises money for Chamber programs and the Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship fund. Last year BACC awarded seven scholarships to local high school students. The fund has provided thousands of dollars in scholarship monies to local students who go on to attend universities, community college, or an accredited certification program that build future careers. Premiere sponsors of the Annual Dinner & Scholarship Fundraiser are Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington Bank & Trust, and BMO Harris Bank.
BACC is the largest and most active regional chamber with nearly 900 members and nearly 200 networking opportunities each year. During the Annual Dinner the new 2018 BACC Board of Directors will be officially installed; and awards will be presented for the Hospitality Member of the Year, Community Partner of the Year, Business of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Young Entrepreneurs of the Year, and other recognitions.
The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce awarded $4,000 in scholarships to six local high school students during its 40th Annual “Fashion Show and Scholarship Luncheon” on Wednesday, April 19 at Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington.
